Who runs this site
Oil & Invest is run by Apollo Shareholder Relations Ltd. ("Apollo"), an investor relations firm in British Columbia, Canada. Apollo is paid by public companies for investor relations, marketing, advertising and related services.
Most companies here are not Apollo clients
The main list is filled automatically by a fixed rule from the newswire. Apollo does not write, choose, rank or edit it, and no company pays to appear in it. Unless a release carries the "Apollo client" label, the company that issued it is not an Apollo client.
Companies that are Apollo clients
These companies currently pay Apollo. Their releases on this site are labelled "Apollo client" wherever they appear. The block marked "Sponsored" at the top of the page shows the latest releases of some of them first because they are clients: that placement is advertising, not news judgment.

How Apollo is paid
Apollo is paid in cash. Some engagements also include stock options in the company, granted under the company's option plan and subject to exchange approval. Apollo is never paid in shares. Apollo's fees are set by the services it provides and are never based on a company's share price, trading volume, financing results or any other measure of market performance. Where a company has announced its engagement of Apollo, the terms are in that company's own news release and its filings on SEDAR+ (sedarplus.ca).
Holdings and conflicts
Apollo, its principals, employees, contractors and their related parties may hold securities of the companies listed above, including shares bought with their own money and stock options granted to Apollo as compensation, and may buy or sell them, subject to securities laws. They do not trade a company's securities in anticipation of content about it. Being paid by a company, and holding its securities, is a conflict of interest. Read any release labelled "Apollo client" with that in mind.
No advice
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation or offer to buy or sell any security. Releases are the companies' own statements and may contain forward-looking information that may not come true. Do your own research and speak to a registered adviser before making an investment decision.
