Meet Khaled Sadek, PhD, P.Eng.! Khaled is a Mechanical Engineer with our Stress Engineering Services Canada office. Before joining our SESC team, he was employed with Suncor Energy Inc. for 14 years.

Khaled possesses extensive expertise in static finite element analysis (FEA) of structures considering material and geometric non-linearities. He has a wealth of experience in fitness for service assessments of cokers, pipelines, pressure vessels and tanks. Additionally, he has experience in providing engineering support to projects and turnarounds in upgrading, extraction, and tailings areas.

Khaled possesses extensive familiarity with various codes and specifications including ABSA, AER regulations, ASME Section VIII Div.1&2, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, CSA Z662, API 571, API 579-1, API 610 and API 650 industrial codes and specifications.

He holds a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada, as well as M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Cairo University in Egypt. He is a registered professional engineer in Alberta, Canada (APEGA).
