Recent gravity surveys at the Mallina West gold project have identified several new targets for follow-up drill testing, according to owner Kalamazoo Resources.
The surveys were designed to define highly prospective Hemi-style gold targets at the WA project, which spans 118 square kilometres and is positioned along the highly prospective Wohler shear zone.
“Located along the same major shear zone structure as De Grey Mining’s nearby world-class 10Moz (million ounce) Hemi gold discovery, our Mallina West Gold Project is considered highly prospective for similar style gold mineralisation,” Kalamazoo chief executive officer Luke Mortimer said.
“Kalamazoo’s recent gravity surveys, combined with existing aeromagnetic and surface geochemistry data, have delivered several high-priority Hemi-style drill targets.”
Mortimer said the company is extremely encouraged by these results and is planning ongoing exploration activities on these targets.
As the exploration activities at Mallina West continue to advance, the focus is on high-priority targets identified through a combination of structural and surface geochemistry targeting, alongside 3D aeromagnetic and gravity data modelling.
Kalamazoo Resources has said it remains committed to progressing these promising targets towards drill testing, aiming to uncover significant gold mineralisation within the Mallina West Gold Project.
