PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dorsey & Whitney LLP continues to expand its Phoenix office with the arrival of leading mining, environmental, and corporate attorneys Dawn Meidinger, C.W. Ross, and Norm James, the international law firm announced today.
Dorsey’s Phoenix office has grown to nearly 40 attorneys since opening in 2022. “We are committed to growing our Phoenix office to be a full-service firm to meet the needs of this growing market,” said Bill Stoeri, Dorsey’s Managing Partner. “The arrival of Dawn Meidinger, C.W. Ross, and Norm James will also complement our expertise in the mining industry across our offices in the Mountain West, a key growth area for Dorsey.”
Dawn Meidinger joins Dorsey as a Regulatory Affairs Partner. An established mining and environmental attorney with deep experience on mine permitting and development, Dawn has significant experience in project development on public lands. Dawn comes to Dorsey from Fennemore, where she was a partner. Dawn received her J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and her B.S. from Arizona State University.
C.W. Ross joins Dorsey as a Mergers & Acquisitions Partner. He brings an M&A transaction and finance practice covering a broad set of clients and industries, including experience with mining and manufacturing, technology, and agriculture M&A and financing transactions. C.W. comes to Dorsey from Fennemore, where he was a director. C.W. received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Brigham Young University.
Norm James joins Dorsey as Of Counsel in the firm’s Regulatory Affairs group. Norm is a well-respected environmental and public lands litigator. His practice stretches across the western United States, with several large cases in Alaska. Norm also comes to Dorsey from Fennemore, where he was a director. Norm received his J.D. from University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, and his B.A. from Stanford University.
