Metso has introduced its modular magnetic separation plant units that are designed for high recovery and a simplified operation.
Compared to a traditional delivery, Metso said the modular plant units result in the earliest time-to-volume, with the help of maximised pre-fabrication in a controlled workshop environment.
It also encourages minimised site work so installation is safer, faster and of better quality.
“As the industry leader in mining process technology and modularity, we are excited to launch the magnetic separation plant units,” Metso plant solutions vice president Alex Lagerstedt said.
“Besides easy installation and maintenance, the scalable units have been designed to provide unrivalled selectivity, resulting in high recovery of fine and ultrafine particles.”
The modular plant units feature a flexible scope to meet the needs of the end customer or engineering, procurement, and construction management. The units can be equipped with OKTOP feed tanks, slurry pumps, hoses and valves, and coupled with process control systems and various ancillary products and sampling systems.
The modular magnetic separation plant units act as an expansion of Metso’s advanced magnetic separation equipment portfolio.
“Metso’s high gradient magnetic separator portfolio features a wide range of processing options for many particle sizes and applications, ranging from iron ore concentrates, rare earth ores, battery and industrial minerals to tailings recovery,” Metso magnetic and physical separation product manager Peter Jansson said.
“Combining these magnetic separators into plant units results in flexible and efficient flowsheets.”
Metso has recently expanded its footprint in the US, Germany and Finland.
