Lucid’s second electric vehicle model, the Lucid Gravity, is now making its way to some of its buyers. For now, it’s just family, friends, and employees who are getting the initial deliveries. However, it shouldn’t be long at all before others start receiving theirs as well. The company posted the following update to X to reveal and celebrate the initial model deliveries.

The Lucid Gravity is expected to be a bigger seller than the Lucid Air, given that it’s in the more popular SUV category. But we’ll see — it’s still quite expensive, and the luxury vehicle market is currently the most competitive for electric vehicles.

Lucid opened up configuring and ordering of the Gravity nearly two months ago. “Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID), maker of the world’s most advanced electric vehicles, today announced the availability of the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring on the ‘Design Yours’ configurator on LucidMotors.com. The Grand Touring delivers an unparalleled combination of sophistication, versatility, interior space, and range, making it the perfect choice for discerning customers. Production is scheduled to start at the end of 2024,” Lucid wrote at the time.

“The Lucid Gravity provides a never-before-achievable combination of attributes only made possible by Lucid’s game-changing technology,” Peter Rawlinson, CEO of Lucid, noted. “It is the most sustainable vehicle in its class. And it is available to order immediately.”

The Lucid Gravity is not cheap, ranging from about $95,000 to about $127,000, so don’t expect it to see soaring sales. Though, it could replace a lot of fossil-fueled luxury SUVs.

The Gravity also comes with the Tesla Supercharger port built in. It’s only the second non-Tesla model to have that. The first was the Hyundai IONIQ 5 a few days ago.
