As the world’s appetite for minerals sands and rare earths continues to grow, many of Australia’s existing operations are increasing outputs.

More new projects are due to commence production in the near future, offering opportunities for local and international enterprises.

Container Rotations Systems (CRS), as a proud Australian company, is part of this growth, offering its vast portfolio of innovative containerised bulk handling (CBH) solutions.

CRS locally manufactures high-quality, cost-effective, environmentally friendly sealed containerised container solutions for both domestic and international operations from its Western Sydney manufacturing facility.

CRS has been at the forefront of innovation CBH for over 14 years and has accumulated a wealth of industry knowledge and experience.

CRS is proud to support Aurizon’s rail operation in Kwinana WA with a Rotainer R.S (reach stacker). This unit is rated to 38 tonnes gross and is used to handle and distribute containerised mineral sands arriving by rail from the Tronox processing plant in Broken Hill, NSW.

CRS worked closely with both companies to come up a with an innovative ‘claw’ lid lift system to cater for Tronox’s fleet of 2000mm high open top containers.

The Rotainer R.S is one of CRS’s most popular units as a stand-alone unit with a small but tough diesel engine and hand held remote control, meaning no interface to the base unit is required.

An innovative feature on this and all CRS machines, post COVID-19, was the development of R.R.M – rotainer remote monitoring.

R.R.M allows real time information to be sent to mobile phones or P.C’s for monitoring and enhancing total operational performance such as, service information, fault logging and programme adjustments.
