MinRes celebrates its FY23 results

Mineral Resources (MinRes) has released its 2023 Annual Reporting Suite, providing a comprehensive look into the company’s achievements over the past financial year (FY23).

“Every day, MinRes is leading innovation in the sector and across our diverse portfolio, driven by the best leaders in the industry and backed by the next generation who will drive the business for decades,” MinRes managing director Chris Ellison said.

“This leadership has been on display throughout the year – with strong progress on the key projects that are the foundation of our future success.”

Highlights from the past financial year included MinRes receiving all major approvals for its Onslow Iron project in WA, with construction of the mine site progressed ahead of first ore in mid-2024.

MinRes’ lithium division also delivered record earnings, thanks in part to the construction of the Mount Marion plant expansion in WA.

In terms of its employees, MinRes grew its diverse workforce with female participation rising to 22.2 per cent and Indigenous representative increasing to 3.5 per cent.

MinRes also increased its community outreach, with $7.5 million delivered through its social investment program to over 120 organisations.

Joining the MinRes board in FY23 was Emeritus Professor Colleen Hayward and former Australian Test cricketer Justin Langer as independent non-executive directors.
