A new report shows that deliveries for exploration, development projects and operation of Equinor-operated fields and onshore facilities in Norway had a value of more than NOK 134 billion in 2023, 94 per cent of which were invoiced by Norwegian suppliers.
Equinor plans to maintain its oil and gas production of around 1.2 million barrels per day from the Norwegian continental shelf towards 2035. At the same time, emissions will be halved by 2030 in line with the Paris Agreement. This results in a high level of activity in Norway and the ripple effect report shows increased activity. The largest increase is in exploration, of 26 per cent, which reflects increased exploration activity on the Norwegian shelf.
The report has been prepared by Kunnskapsparken Bodø (KPB), which has analyzed actual purchases of goods and services for Equinor-operated fields and onshore facilities, development projects and exploration activity from Hammerfest LNG in the north to the Sleipner field in the south. This is the first time development projects have been included, and the third time such a report has been made. Read full article

Lamborghini Iron Lynx will be aiming to bounce back from a disappointing race in Brazil as the FIA World Endurance Championship heads to the Circuit of the Americas in Texas for round five of the 2024 season this weekend.
The #63 crew of Mirko Bortolotti, Daniil Kvyat and Edoardo Mortara remains unchanged for the Lone Star Le Mans, with improved performance versus its rivals the key priority after a somewhat below-par previous round in São Paulo.
Of particular concern during the race in Brazil was the long-run pace on the harder Michelin Pilot compound tyre in the early stages of the race, which necessitated moving onto the faster, but less durable medium compound. This strategy initially left the #63 inside the top 10, but a drop in speed combined with a puncture in the second half of the race meant the crew could only finish 17th.. Source,

Team Peugeot TotalEnergies is raring to go again as the 2024 FIA WEC resumes at the Circuit of The Americas next to Austin, Texas (USA).
The French outfit is set to make its début at the six-hour race, known as the Lone Star Le Mans and which returned to the FIA WEC race calendar in 2020. The 2024 version of the PEUGEOT 9X8 has already had the chance to familiarise itself with the Texan racetrack, along with its championship rivals, at a test session organised by Michelin in late July.
The team was able to try out the circuit alongside its fellow competitors, thus providing good preparation for the race. COTA is a unique track. It is very bumpy, has some big elevation changes, and there are both very fast and much slower sections. The test session, as well as the period of preparation, enabled the team both to fine-tune its race strategies and get to grips with the Circuit of The Americas. The data analysis work and simulations focused on the series of fast, sweeping turns and slower, technical corners. Testing also provided an opportunity to adjust the system settings precisely, considering the specific features of the track. Each setting was studied to enable the team to get the most out of this demanding circuit. Read full article
